Ison, began his career as a classroom computer science teacher in 1980's and has held positions including, administrator, technology specialist, technology director, grant writer, project developer, project coordinator, project director, team leader and more. He has over two decades of experience using emerging technologies to address market needs in education. He has presented at numerous state, regional and national educational conferences and has held leadership positions on many educational committees.
Coy is the general partner for the WorkEdge LP Group and the WorkEdge CIG. He was instrumental in the launching of the WorkEdge Group that has spearheaded innovative technology-based pilot programs to aid student learning, and developed numerous education-focused software programs.
Coy's present area of interests are in the use of instructional practices tied to Formative Assessment tools and Models, Social Networking, Web 2.0 and Mass Collaboration in the classroom.
